Job summary

Continental Resources, Inc. is seeking a Staff Engineer – Business Development to lead evaluations of transaction opportunities and present recommendations to executive management.

You will be a key player in acquisitions, divestitures, and other corporate development projects, conducting market research and building robust financial/operational models. The role requires strong communication, the ability to manage multiple objectives, and an independent, proactive work style.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Petroleum, Chemical, or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college.
  • Eight or more years of professional experience in corporate development or business development.
  • Background in upstream oil and gas is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and lead evaluations for transaction opportunities and present recommendations to executive management.
  • Lead acquisitions, divestitures, or other corporate development projects.
  • Research trends and identify acquisition opportunities and competitive landscape.
  • Create financial, operational, and technical models and analyses.
  • Prepare reports for management and board presentations.
