Job summary

Capital One is seeking a Staff Engineer to lead technical direction and drive engineering excellence in cloud-based solutions. You will mentor engineers, collaborate with ML, product, and people leaders, and contribute to architecture decisions that affect multiple domains.

You will articulate strategy, decompose complex problems, and ensure high-quality designs, while staying hands-on and delivering impact across Capital One Tech.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 7+ years in general software development.
• 7+ years in enterprise architecture and design patterns.
• 10+ years of professional coding in Java, Python, Go, JavaScript/TypeScript, Swift, etc.
• 8+ years in full lifecycle of system development.
• 3+ years of experience with cloud technologies.
• Experience leveraging AI tooling to accelerate productivity.
