Job summary

Global Connect Technologies in Michigan is seeking a hands-on Software Architect / Senior Software Engineer to lead the technical direction and deliver high-quality embedded software for an Automotive IPC ECU. You will drive architecture decisions, improve platform stability, and contribute across design, implementation, and issue resolution throughout the product lifecycle.

This role requires 10+ years in embedded software, strong Embedded C, and experience with automotive ECUs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Electronics or equivalent.
• 10+ years embedded software with leadership of complex components.
• Strong Embedded C, debugging and RTOS design for real-time systems.
• Automotive ECU software delivery experience is preferred.
• Ability to lead investigations end-to-end and drive closure.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve IPC ECU software architecture, including interfaces.
• Design, develop, and maintain production embedded software in C.
• Lead technical decisions for new features and platform improvements.
• Perform system-level debugging and root-cause analysis.
• Promote coding standards, code reviews, and integration readiness.
• Collaborate with Systems, Validation, Manufacturing, and Programs.
• Support integration and releases across product variants.
• Mentor engineers and uplift team capability.
• Produce architecture notes and runbooks for continuity.
