Job summary

Imprint is seeking an Staff Engineer, Security to own the security foundation end-to-end — AI security governance, application security, cloud infrastructure, detection and response, and identity management. You'll report to the Director of Engineering for Trust & Security and lead as the technical design authority for security at Imprint, leveraging AI from day one to scale impact.

This role stays hands-on while setting strategic direction, balancing business needs and security priorities as

Qualifications

• 8+ years in security engineering and building a security function from early stages.
• Writes and ships security controls, not just identifies problems.
• Reads and reviews code in production languages (Go, TypeScript, Python).
• Experience building SIEM or SOAR pipelines from log sources through triage.
• Deep AWS security knowledge: IAM, multi-account strategies, privilege escalation.
• Experience operating inside PCI DSS scope with real audits.
• Ability to scope work and balance direct fixes with SLAs.

Responsibilities

• AI security: threat-model AI agent surfaces for prompt injection and misuse.
• AI for security: build AI-native capabilities for detection triage and compliance evidence.
• Application security: threat modeling, secure code review, SAST/DAST/CI/CD security.
• Cloud security: multi-account IAM, least-privilege, Terraform security review.
• Detection and response: build SIEM/SOAR pipeline and incident runbooks.
• Identity and access: drive SSO coverage and JIT elevation with IT.
• Compliance partnership: implement controls for SOC 2, PCI, ISO evidence.
