Job summary

Finch in New York City is seeking a Senior full-stack engineer to own features end-to-end, from architecture through production release. You will ship reliable, scalable systems using Python, Django, React, and AWS, and build AI-powered capabilities for the legal sector.

You will collaborate with product, ops, and design as you shape the product and standards in a fast-moving team. This role is based in NYC office, four days a week, with ownership from day one.

Qualifications

• 3+ years building reliable, secure software in production.
• Full-stack experience across frontend and backend.
• Proficiency in Python and React, or demonstrated ability to pick up new stacks.
• Track record of writing clean, maintainable code.

Responsibilities

• Own major features end-to-end, from architecture decisions through production release.
• Build reliable, performant systems across our core workflows using Python/Django, React, and AWS.
• Ship AI-powered functionality that turns legal complexity into clear, usable software for law firms.
• Collaborate directly with product, ops, and design to define what gets built and why.
• Shape our culture of our technical team, standards, and practices while we're still small enough for it to matter.
