Job summary

SonderMind seeks a Staff Engineer to own end-to-end features across backend services, agentic frameworks, AI pipelines and frontend components. You’ll work with product, design, and QA to shape a scalable microservices architecture and deliver high-impact solutions.

We value hands-on experience with Ruby/Rails, TypeScript/Node, Python and strong API design, PostgreSQL tuning, and mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building web services or full‑stack apps.
• Strong backend in Ruby on Rails, TypeScript/Node, Python.
• Experience with APIs and PostgreSQL.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain scalable backend services in Ruby/Rails, TS/Node, and Python.
• Optimize MongoDB and PostgreSQL queries for performance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define requirements.
• Lead AI pipeline related work and AI-enabled tooling.
• Mentor engineers and lead complex projects.
