Under supervision, you will assist with dam, landfill, and site development projects, build data management, and prepare technical reports and proposals for clients and regulators. The role involves field tasks, travel for field assignments, and occasional inspections.
The Madison, Wisconsin office of GEI Consultants, Inc. (GEI) is seeking a Staff Professional with a background in civil, geotechnical, structural, or water resources engineering. Under supervision of senior staff, this individual will provide support to ongoing field and engineering design and construction efforts. Projects may include those related to dams and hydropower facilities, excavation support systems, building foundations, tunnels, solid waste landfills, and site development. Candidate will provide office support, data management, and technical report development. Field activities will include coordination and documentation of geotechnical soil borings; installation of wells and geotechnical instrumentation; and oversight and documentation during construction. Activities may also include inspections, permitting and creation of record documents for dams, structures, and landfills.
