Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Baltimore, MD is seeking a Staff Electronics Engineer – HW & SW Test to lead the development and integration of test hardware and software for complex electronic systems. You will support the full product lifecycle from design through flight test and debugging.

The role requires a mix of test hardware/software design, hands-on troubleshooting, and collaboration in design reviews to ensure system requirements are met. Onsite work in Baltimore is expected.

Qualifications

• 12 years of experience with a Bachelors in STEM
• 8 years of System Engineering with Masters
• 6 years with a PhD
• US Citizenship
• Active DoD Secret Clearance with SAP access within last 6 years
• Ability to read specifications and schematics
• Hardware and software design experience
• RF theory and test equipment knowledge
• Onsite in Baltimore, MD

Responsibilities

• Understand design to cost, scope, and schedule
• Derive test hardware and software requirements from specs
• Design electromechanical test fixtures and software
• Provide manufacturing support during hardware build
• Integrate test fixtures and software into a test solution
• Certify test equipment and software per requirements
• Deploy test systems and provide factory support
• Troubleshoot hardware/software issues
• Lead test hardware and software design efforts from requirements to verification
