Job summary

ChargePoint in Campbell, CA is seeking a Staff Electrical Systems Engineer to drive the design and development of HV DC fast charging products. You will own system architecture, lead trade-offs, and guide a multidisciplinary team from concept through deployment.

You will collaborate with power electronics, firmware, mechanical, and regulatory groups, perform DFMEA, develop test plans, and diagnose hardware issues with lab tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master’s preferred
• Experience leading hardware programs from concept to production
• Knowledge of HV DC fast charger architectures and safety standards
• Familiarity with DFMEA and test plan development

Responsibilities

• Own the electrical system architecture and subsystem interfaces for HV DC fast chargers
• Review designs, schematics, and layouts; ensure adherence to best practices in analog/digital/power design
• Collaborate with power electronics, firmware, hardware, thermal, regulatory, and reliability teams
• Develop and drive DFMEA and fault analysis across the product line
• Define protection strategies and fault classifications for system components
• Create and execute test plans to validate hardware and firmware performance
• Diagnose hardware issues using lab tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers)
