Job summary

ChargePoint, Inc. in Campbell, CA, is hiring a Staff Electrical Systems Design Engineer to lead the design, development, testing and manufacturing of DC fast charging products.

Youwill own the technical direction, system architecture, and key trade-offs across power electronics, mechanical, PCB, regulatory, quality, reliability, and test teams. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or related field; Master's preferred.
• 7–10 years of hands-on experience with systems in 208–600 VAC and up to 1000 VDC.
• Experience leading complex hardware programs from concept to high-volume production.
• Experience with renewable energy systems such as solar, battery storage, or EV charging.
• Foundational understanding of power converter topologies and control strategies.
• Familiarity with IEC 62368, IEEE 1547, UL 1741, CA Rule 21, IEC 61851, SunSpec Modbus is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive design, development, testing, and manufacturing of HV DC fast charging products.
• Own system architecture and key design trade-offs across multidisciplinary teams.
• Review and approve schematics, boards layouts, and documentation.
• Lead DFMEA process to ensure product reliability.
• Develop test plans and verify hardware/firmware performance and durability.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware issues using lab tools (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers).
