Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field and 7+ years of industry experience with electrical and embedded systems for commercial products.
• Experience designing electrical schematics, PCB layouts, and collaborating with external vendors for fabrication/assembly.
• Experience bringing up, testing, debugging, and releasing complex PCBAs from concept through commercialization.
• Strong experience with embedded hardware and firmware subsystems, microcontrollers, sensors, memory devices, and serial interfaces/protocols.

Responsibilities

• Develop capital surgical and support equipment with internal/external teams.
• Design, layout, fabricate, debug, test, document, and release complex PCBAs for medical devices.
• Develop, debug, integrate, and release embedded firmware and micro-code as needed.
• Identify and prototype sensor solutions for complex surgical instruments.
• Collaborate across teams and partners within a multi-functional technical team.
• Create product requirements, specifications, system architecture, and test protocols/reports.
• Bring-up, debug, and integrate electronics subsystems and manage cross-system dependencies.
• Update electrical drawings to communicate requirements to partners.
• Author and execute electrical verification tests.
