Job summary

CesiumAstro is seeking a Staff Electrical Engineer to join the Digital/Mixed-Signal Electronics team. You will own end-to-end design of complex electronics for space applications, from concept through production, leading small hardware teams and developing high-reliability products such as SDRs, SBCs, and telemetry subsystems.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university.
• Minimum of 8 years of board-level electronics design, analysis, and test.
• Expertise in digital and mixed-signal electronics, signal integrity, and SDR applications.
• Experience with high-speed digital SerDes (10+ Gbps) and telemetry subsystems.
• Experience owning complex board-level designs from concept to production.
• Strong communication skills and ability to lead small teams.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end design of complex electronics modules from concept to production.
• Lead digital/mixed-signal hardware for space applications (SDRs, SBCs, telemetry subsystems).
• Lead small hardware teams to develop new products.
• Write hardware requirements for medium-complexity systems.
• Perform schematic and PCB layout in Altium for complex boards.
• Conduct board-level and system analyses (SI, PI).
• Develop bring-up plans and verification tests for hardware.
• Perform bring-up and validation with technicians.
• Release modules to production with Manufacturing and Test Eng.
• Mentor junior and senior engineers to build expertise.
• Collaborate with software and mechanical teams to streamline design.
