The position requires 10+ years of engineering experience with ABET-accredited education, with PE preferred.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of related engineering experience with ABET-accredited BS in engineering.
• PE license is preferred (in US states or Puerto Rico).
• Alternate: 8+ years with Master's or PhD in engineering (ABET-accredited).

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate strong BES operations knowledge across planning, protection, control, and substations.
• Lead system-wide activities in specific areas of engineering.
• Develop and implement plans to address system-wide issues.
• Identify and resolve highly complex technical problems with extensive expertise.
• Prepare and present complex technical topics to senior management and regulators.
• Build teams and networks across AEP, regulators, and academia.
