American Electric Power (AEP) is seeking engineers across multiple grades to design, manage, and test protection and control for high‑voltage substations from 4kV to 765kV. You will work with contractors and regulatory authorities, develop P&C settings, and ensure compliance with NERC standards while guiding projects from conception through commissioning.

Entry to senior roles require ABET‑accredited engineering degrees; FE/PE licensure is encouraged.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• FE exam encouraged/favored for PE licensure.
• Two or more years of related engineering experience for higher level roles; MS/PhD may waive experience.
• PE licensure encouraged/preferred for advancement.

Responsabilidades

• Perform relay protection and control activities for 4kV–765kV substation projects.
• Prepare and review P&C scopes and engineering settings.
• Review relay setting calculations and deliverables.
• Conduct protection studies and fault analyses; model transmission impedances.
