Form Energy seeks a Staff EHS Engineer to support daily EHS operations at the Berkeley, CA facility and nearby project sites. You will ensure the health and safety of the team and facilities, working with engineering on battery design and testing, and lead safety initiatives across the organization.

You will develop and manage EHS programs, lead risk assessments, and conduct incident investigations, while promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience in EHS.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field is a plus.
• Passion for safety culture and EHS leadership.
• Expertise in EHS regulations at local, state, and federal levels.
• Expertise with battery engineering and testing, chemical hygiene, hazardous atmospheres, and NFPA 70E.
• Demonstrated ability to obtain buy-in for safety initiatives across an organization.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across an organization.
• Strong project management, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Support day-to-day EHS operations at a fast-paced engineering and test facility and nearby sites.
• Develop, implement, and manage EHS programs and training.
• Lead EHS review processes including risk assessments and JHA for complex operations.
• Lead pre-startup safety reviews for commissioning complex equipment and systems.
• Review hazard identifications and HAZOPs with engineering teams for safety and compliance.
• Support hazard communication, chemical hygiene, and chemical safety programs.
• Support industrial hygiene program including exposure assessments.
• Lead regular safety committee and emergency response team meetings.
• Support incident response, investigation, and root cause analysis.
• Promote a strong, positive safety culture throughout the organization.
