About This Role

The Staff Education RN (per Diem) in Labor & Delivery collaborates with various stakeholders to develop, implement, and evaluate educational programs that meet regulatory and organizational needs. This role is ideal for experienced nurses who are passionate about education and professional development.

• Schedule: Per Diem, Day shift

What You'll Do

• Develop, coordinate, and evaluate programs to meet regulatory requirements and organizational needs.
• Design and implement continuing professional education activities for staff.
• Collaborate with consultants to develop special projects in professional education.
• Communicate and market education programs to a broad audience based on assessed needs.
• Make recommendations for cost/quality strategies and serve as a resource for staff.
• Develop and monitor orientation and competency processes for clinical staff and students.
• Evaluate performance issues and develop remediation strategies.
• Respond to changes in clinical practice and provide necessary training and education.
• Participate in leadership projects, meetings, and committees.
• Ensure compliance and documentation of organizational records based on regulatory standards.

Requirements

Education

• Bachelor's degree required

Experience

• Minimum two (2) years previous teaching experience or recent experience in in-service education in a clinical service area
• Must have at least 1 year of Labor & Delivery experience within the last 2 years

Licenses & Certifications

• Registered Nurse License (California)
• AHA BLS instructor preferred
• BSN preferred
• Master's Degree preferred
