Job summary

Red River Science & Technology, Llc is seeking a Staff Duty Bus Driver/Truck Driver Heavy to transport clients and personnel on Fort Bliss. You will drive 15–26 passenger minibuses or vans and operate larger trucks as needed, while maintaining safety and service standards.

The role requires a valid CDL with passenger endorsement, a DOT medical card, and a clean driving record. Prior military-related experience and fluency in English are valued assets for this position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Class A/B CDL with passenger endorsement required.
• DOT medical evaluation card required.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Must have an acceptable driving record (7 year check).
• Proficient English verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of Ft. Bliss and state driving regulations.

Responsibilities

• Drive minibus or van to transport clients, trainees, or personnel.
• Operate radio to communicate with base/vehicles to report trips and issues.
• Clean and service vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories.
• Keep records of trips and passenger behavior.
• Perform custodial or building maintenance duties when not driving.
• Operate 15–26 passenger minibus/van and stake bed/box truck up to 5 tons.

Position Summary

The Staff Duty Bus Driver drives minibus or van to transport clients, trainees, or company personnel as well as transporting of luggage and personal belongings in box trucks and stake beds.

Essential Functions of the Position

• Drives vehicle from individual or central loading area to social services or rehabilitation center, medical centers, training location, job site, travel centers, or other destination according to assigned mission.
• Operate radio or similar device to communicate with base station or other vehicles to report drop off, pick up and disruption of service.
• Clean and/or service vehicle with fuel, lubricants, and accessories
• Keep records of trips and/or behavior of passengers
• Perform other duties when not driving such as, custodial and building maintenance tasks.
• Must be able to operate 15 to 26 passengers’ minibus or van.
• Must be able to operate a Stake Bed/ Box truck up to 5 tons.

Physical Demands

• Required to walk, stand, sit, and move about the property for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

• Indoor/Outdoor; exposure to external environmental conditions possible.
• Noise level can range from minimal to intense.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain CAC access, to include network access.
• Valid Driver's License and ability to maintain post driving privileges.
• Prior experience working with/for the US Military, a plus.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
