Job summary

Red River Science & Technology at Fort Bliss, NM, seeks a Laborer to perform manual tasks using hand tools and simple power equipment in support of mobilizing units.

You will load/unload trucks, move materials, and perform general labor duties on site while complying with safety and performance requirements. The role requires English fluency and the ability to obtain CAC access.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Must be able to obtain CAC access, to include network access.
• Valid Driver's License.
• Must be a US Citizen.

Responsibilities

• Provides baggage support at the Fort Bliss Arrival/Departure Airfield Control Group (A/DACG).
• Loads and unloads trucks and moves supplies and materials.
• Stacks materials for storage or binning.
• Collects refuse and salvageable materials.
• Moves and arranges office and household furniture and equipment.
• Spreads sand and salt on icy walkways.
• Picks up leaves and trash.
• Ensure QC/Safety programs are followed.
• Understand and comply with Performance Work Statement requirements.

Position Summary

The Laborer will perform manual labor tasks using common hand tools and simple power equipment.

Essential Functions of the Position

• Provides baggage support at the Fort Bliss Arrival/Departure Airfield Control Group (A/DACG) in support of mobilizing and deploying units/individuals.
• Loads and unloads trucks, and other conveyances, moves supplies and materials to proper location by wheelbarrow or hand truck.
• Stacks materials for storage or binning.
• Collects refuse and salvageable materials.
• Moves and arranges office and household furniture, equipment, and appliances and machinery.
• Spreads sand and salt on icy walkways.
• Picks up leaves and trash.
• Provide Labor detail when needed.
• Must comply with all OSHA regulatory requirements.
• Will support and enforce the QC/Safety’s Programs guidance.
• Understand and comply with all Performance Work Statement requirements.

Physical Demands

• Required to walk, stand, sit, and move about the property for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Required Qualifications and Expectations

• High school diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Ability to follow oral or written instructions in English.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
• Indoor/Outdoor; exposure to external environmental conditions possible.
• Noise level can range from minimal to intense.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain CAC access, to include network access.
• Valid Driver's License and ability to maintain post driving privileges.
• Prior experience working with/for the US Military, a plus.
• Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
