Job summary

Exelixis is seeking a Staff Engineer - DevSecOps in Alameda, CA to protect AI infrastructure, data, and systems from cyber threats. You will implement, manage, and improve security practices across AI, cloud applications, and infrastructure.

Responsibilities include building AI-assisted tools, implementing AI guardrails, and coordinating with teams to secure applications, cloud, and data. Candidates should have strong cloud security experience and a background in regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related discipline and 7 years of related experience; or Master's degree and 5 years of related experience
• CISSP, CISM, CEH, OSCP, GIAC or similar cybersecurity certification preferred
• Experience with operation and implementation of cybersecurity tools.
• Experience in cloud security (IAM, VPC, Zero Trust, IaC) and SDLC/CI-CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Protect AI infrastructure, data, and systems from cyber threats.
• Build AI-assisted development tools and guardrails for security.
• Design and implement security solutions and procedures.
• Investigate security events and incidents; contain threats and document findings.
• Monitor security logs and stay current with threat landscape.
