Job summary

Northrop Grumman Defense Systems seeks a Staff Dev Ops Engineer for our Roy, Utah location to support the Sentinel program. Responsibilities include designing system architecture, agile software development, and building automated testing and CI/CD tools.

Qualifications require a DoD Secret clearance, 4+ years in scripting, container orchestration (Kubernetes/Docker/OpenShift), and CI/CD tools; SAP eligibility is required. Competitive salary with benefits including 401k and education support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 12 years of relevant experience; 10 Years with Masters; 8 Years with PhD; or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Must be a US Citizen with an active DoD Secret clearance with a reinvestigation date within the last 6 years.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval.
• 4 years experience with build tools (i.e., Maven, Ant, GNU make) and/or continuous integration environments (i.e., Jenkins, GitLab, Bamboo) and/or repositories (i.e. Nexus, JFROG) in a Linux environment.
• 4 years experience of Microsoft and Linux Red Hat operating system.
• 4 years experience with scripting languages (i.e. PERL, Python, Bash, Yaml).
• 4 years experience with container orchestration and container technologies (i.e. Kubernetes, Docker, OpenShift), Experience with Virtualization Technologies for CI/CD pipelines.
• 2 years experience with deploying and configuring Microsoft Internet Information System (IIS).
• IAT Level II certification (e.g. Security + CE) or ability to obtain within 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Design and define system architecture for new or existing software products.
• Develop software in an agile development environment.
• Design automated test procedures for software verification activities.
• Collaborate with the lead software engineer and a team of software engineers to establish and develop automated tools.
• Develop Software Test Plans and Procedures for team software products.
