Job summary

Huxley is seeking a Staff DevOps Engineer in the San Mateo / San Francisco Bay Area to lead infrastructure and automation for a Series C SaaS AI platform. You’ll architect scalable systems, drive CI/CD, and partner with security and engineering to improve reliability and developer experience.

You will mentor engineers, set technical direction, and own critical production services across cloud environments, with an emphasis on GCP, Kubernetes, and GitOps practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software engineering, DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering.
• Experience with GCP architecture, deployment, and scaling of production systems.
• Proven CI/CD in cloud environments and infrastructure as code.
• Hands-on with Kubernetes and GitOps tooling (ArgoCD).
• Familiarity with Terraform and Crossplane.
• Monitoring with Prometheus and Grafana.
• Programming in Python and/or Go.
• Networking and security experience including API Gateways or service mesh, SSO, RBAC.

• Develop software to enhance developer experience.
• Collaborate with engineering to improve reliability and time-to-market.
• Partner with Security for compliance and security controls.
• Lead complex technical initiatives and drive improvements across teams.
• Mentor engineers through design reviews and guidance.
• Define technical direction for infrastructure, observability, and CI/CD.
• Maintain high standards for architecture and simple design.
• Participate in on-call duties as needed.
