Job summary

Nscale is hiring a Staff Product Engineer in San Francisco to define paved roads for developers—from API calls to production workloads. You’ll set direction for a DevEx domain, drive multi-team delivery, and own cross-squad initiatives that improve speed, reliability, and trust.

You’ll work across discovery, design, build, and iteration with Product, Design, Platform, SRE, and Security to ship developer experiences that measurably elevate performance and reliability.

Qualifications

• Significant experience shipping developer-facing products or platforms with strong product sense.
• Proficiency in Go, or demonstrated ability to ramp quickly in Go-based tooling.
• Strong full-stack capability across TS/React, Go tooling, telemetry, and automation.
• Experience with OpenAPI-driven or contract-first development.
• Track record of operational ownership: reliability, performance, safe incremental delivery.

Responsibilities

• Set multi-quarter direction and roadmaps for a DevEx domain with milestones and metrics.
• Lead cross-team delivery, align dependencies, unblock delivery, and ensure quality.
• Build and evolve core DevEx surfaces: Console/Fleet Manager, tooling, API/SDK experience, IaC workflows, docs.
• Instrument and iterate with KPIs, telemetry, and feedback loops.
• Establish durable quality gates and safe release patterns.
• Drive platform coherency with standardized patterns and shared components.
• Ensure security/governance including RBAC/IAM and safe defaults.
• Mentor engineers to raise standards and multiply impact.
