Job summary

Alchemy in San Francisco is hiring a software engineer on the Developer Experience team. You will own projects from the first problem statement through production, and measure whether they worked.

The team owns how developers discover, adopt, and operate Alchemy: the dashboard, APIs, SDKs, CLI, and MCP server that sit between our infrastructure and the people building on it. A growing share of those users are coding agents, so we design for both.

Qualifications

• Experience building developer-focused products or APIs.
• Ability to design and ship end-to-end features.
• Strong collaboration with Product, Security, and Growth teams.

Responsibilities

• Own projects from problem definition through design, launch, measurement, and on-call.
• Design APIs with versioning, error handling, and safe defaults.
• Build data models and services that scale with traffic and security in mind.
• Build the user-facing side of features across dashboard, CLI, and SDKs.
• Instrument shipping decisions with usage data and developer feedback.
• Write design docs, runbooks, and developer-facing docs.
