Job summary

The SDT collaborates with administrators and teachers to model adult learning, coach peers, and analyze performance data to inform instructional strategies. Requires a Bachelor's in education; a Master's or National Board Certification preferred, plus five years of teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in education or related field; master's degree preferred.
• Minimum five years of successful teaching experience; MCPS experience desirable.
• Experience presenting to adult learners in workshops or seminars.
• Evidence of instructional leadership (team leader, department chair, etc.) preferred.
• Maryland licensure requirements met.

Responsibilities

• Build staff capacity to meet SIP initiatives through professional learning.
• Coach and mentor teachers around teaching standards.
