Huntsville Health and Rehabilitation in Huntsville, AL is seeking a Staff Development Registered Nurse (RN) to lead education and training for our nursing and support staff. You will design programs, coordinate orientation, and mentor teams to elevate resident care.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama.
• Experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing preferred.
• Minimum of three (3) years nursing experience.
• Staff Development experience preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Ability to coordinate training programs and staff education initiatives.

• Conduct new employee orientation and onboarding.
• Evaluate staff competencies and coordinate in-service training programs.

Position Overview

The Staff Development Nurse (RN) is responsible for planning, coordinating, and implementing educational and training programs for nursing and support staff in accordance with federal, state, and facility guidelines.

This role plays a key part in supporting compliance, improving clinical outcomes, and building strong, confident care teams.

What We’re Looking For

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama


• Experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing strongly preferred


• Previous Staff Development experience preferred


• Minimum of three (3) years nursing experience required


• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills


• Ability to coordinate training programs and staff education initiatives
  
• Ability to analyze reports and utilize data effectively


• Passion for mentoring and developing nursing teams
