Job summary

Collingswood Rehab is hiring a Staff Development Coordinator (SDC) to lead education, staff development, and regulatory training for a long-term care facility in Maryland. This full-time role emphasizes competency programs and ongoing professional growth.

Daily Pay is available alongside a comprehensive benefits package. The SDC will collaborate with nursing leadership, ensure accurate education records, and foster a culture of clinical excellence.

Qualifications

• Must possess a current, active RN license in MD.
• Experience as Staff Development Coordinator or Infection Preventionist preferred.
• Ability to build positive relationships and gain staff support.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of long‑term care regulations, nursing education, and staff competency requirements.
• Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities in a fast‑paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure center maintains staffing levels and nursing care for quality resident outcomes.
• Develop, coordinate, and provide education and training programs for new and existing employees.
• Conduct orientations and ongoing in-service education to ensure policy and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain education records, competency validations, and required documentation.
• Assist with admissions and support nursing department workflow and care units.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership to identify educational needs and promote development.
• Monitor compliance with mandatory training requirements and clinical competencies.
• Support quality improvement initiatives through education, coaching, and staff development.

Responsibilities for Staff Development Coordinator (SDC)

• Ensure the center maintains appropriate staffing levels and nursing care to support quality resident outcomes.
• Develop, coordinate, and provide education and training programs for new and existing employees.
• Conduct employee orientation and ongoing in-service education to ensure compliance with facility policies and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate and organized education records, competency validations, and required documentation.
• Assist with admissions as needed and support the nursing department's overall workflow and resident care units.

• Monitor compliance with mandatory training requirements and clinical competencies.

Qualifications for Staff Development Coordinator (SDC)

• Must possess a current, active, and unencumbered RN license in the state of MD.
• Prior experience as a Staff Development Coordinator, Infection Preventionist, or similar educational leadership role within a nursing center or healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong ability to build positive relationships and gain support from staff at all levels.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and presentation skills.
• Knowledge of long‑term care regulations, nursing education, and staff competency requirements.
