Job summary

Elba Rehabilitation and Wellness Center is seeking a Staff Development Coordinator to lead training and education for our clinical team in Elba, AL. This role focuses on enhancing patient care by building strong instructional programs, onboarding new staff, and supporting ongoing professional growth.

You will collaborate with clinical leaders, monitor training outcomes, maintain compliance records, and drive quality improvement initiatives to shape center policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• RN license must be active and unrestricted in Alabama.
• BLS certification required.
• 1 year LTC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive staff training programs to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
• Conduct needs assessments, identify gaps in training, and create customized training solutions.
• Collaborate with clinical leaders to design and deliver targeted educational programs.
• Facilitate onboarding and orientation processes for new staff members.
• Monitor and evaluate staff performance, providing constructive feedback and coaching.
• Maintain accurate records of staff training and development activities.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of center policies and procedures.

Responsibilities:

Requirements:

• Minimum Years of Experience: 1 year of LTC experience preferred; experience in staff development, scheduling, orientation, or nursing education preferred.

• Level of Education: Current, active, and unrestricted RN license issued by the applicable state board of nursing.

• Current BLS for healthcare providers certification
