Socure is hiring a Staff Data Scientist with deep expertise in computer vision and machine learning to provide technical leadership for our document verification solutions. This role guides data scientists through complex challenges and ensures ML solutions across the full model lifecycle—from data strategy and model development to deployment, monitoring, and production usage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field with 10+ years in industry
• Proven experience designing, deploying, and improving production ML systems at scale
• Demonstrated technical leadership across multiple ML projects
• Strong understanding of the full ML lifecycle from data strategy to production monitoring
• Strong technical judgment and ability to navigate complex modeling problems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for varied stakeholders

Responsabilités

• Provide technical direction across document verification projects using CV/ML.
• Oversee end-to-end ML lifecycle: data selection, model development, evaluation, deployment, monitoring.
• Mentor data scientists through complex modeling and production challenges.
• Establish best practices and standards for model development and production readiness.
• Identify technical risks and opportunities to improve model performance and scalability.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and customers to translate business needs into modeling strategies.
• Communicate model behavior and decisions clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders
