Job summary

GEICO is seeking a Staff Data Scientist, Product Analytics to bring quantitative rigor and strategic perspective to product, engineering, and design partners. You will frame questions, design studies, and translate findings into actionable recommendations shaping what we build.

You will embed with teams, define metric frameworks, power experiments, and present insights to senior leadership to influence roadmaps and investments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in product analytics, decision science, data science, or related quantitative role influencing product decisions.
• Strong background designing well-powered A/B tests and interpreting results in real-world settings.
• Solid statistics and causal inference foundation with practical method selection.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python or R for analysis and reproducible workflows.
• Ability to define metric frameworks and translate questions into actionable research plans.

Responsibilities

• Embed with product, engineering, and design leaders as a decision partner.
• Define goal metrics, guardrails, and metric trees for the product area.
• Design, power, and analyze A/B and quasi-experiments; understand heterogeneity.
• Apply causal methods and build ROI, forecasting models.
• Present findings to senior leadership with clarity and uncertainty.
