Job summary

Walmart Global Tech is seeking a Staff Data Scientist to own conversational, agentic, and generative AI systems from modeling to production at our scale. You will lead end-to-end projects and tune ML/LLM systems for reliability and low latency.

You will collaborate with engineers, product partners, and designers to balance cutting-edge research with real-world operational needs in a fast-moving environment.

Qualifications

• Hands-on ML/LLM experience with training, evaluation and deployment.
• Experience building production AI systems at scale.
• Ability to balance research with real-world operational needs.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end projects from problem definition to production launch.
• Design, finetune, evaluate and deploy ML/LLM systems at Walmart scale.
• Own system behavior including latency, scale and reliability.
• Influence teams through clear technical insight and collaboration.
• Work in fast-moving, ambiguous environments with iteration.
