Job summary

Walmart seeks a Distinguished Data Scientist to lead next-generation AI systems and platforms at scale. You will architect end-to-end ML/AI systems, deploy autonomous agents, and mentor senior talent across teams to deliver production-ready solutions.

You will drive technical vision for agentic AI, RL, and simulation, with strong emphasis on business impact, scalability, and safe deployment within Walmart's network.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data science or ML roles with demonstrated impact.
• Advanced degree or equivalent experience in statistics/CS/math.
• Experience shipping production AI systems and agentic AI is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and deploy production ML systems end-to-end: data pipelines, feature stores, model training, serving layers, monitoring, and feedback loops.
• Lead development in agentic AI, RL, and simulation; deploy large-scale AI systems and autonomous agents.
• Design evaluation frameworks for agent performance, multi-step reasoning, and code quality.
