Job summary

Hims & Hers is seeking a Staff Data Scientist to lead production ML initiatives and shape our data strategy in a fast-growing health & wellness platform. You will build scalable ML frameworks, translate business needs into technical roadmaps, and drive reliability and impact across engineering, product, and analytics teams.

You will mentor senior data scientists, define technical standards, and own the full lifecycle of production models in a cloud environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Data Science or ML Engineering with production systems.
• Strong Python and SQL proficiency; expert-level data stack knowledge.
• Experience deploying ML products end-to-end in a cloud environment (AWS or GCP).
• Ability to translate complex business problems into executable ML roadmaps and roadmaps for stakeholders.
• Proven leadership, mentorship, and collaboration across cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Architect automated ML systems and core ML infrastructure.
• Translate business questions into actionable technical roadmaps.
• Lead end-to-end deployment of ML products and ensure production reliability.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Business to align technical and business goals.
• Establish standards for model development, reviews, and reproducibility.
