Job summary

Stord, The Consumer Experience Company, is seeking a Staff Data Scientist to anchor our data science efforts across demand forecasting, pricing analytics, and ML ops. This senior individual contributor role will shape our data science strategy, standards, and platform capabilities, working closely with engineering and product teams.

You'll own complex modeling problems end-to-end, deploy production models, and mentor peers while engaging with leadership to translate technical decisions into

Qualifications

• Expert-level Python programming with production code experience.
• Strong SQL skills with Postgres and BigQuery experience.
• Deep understanding of statistical analysis and machine learning fundamentals.
• Proven experience deploying and operating models in production, including monitoring.
• Hands-on ML Ops: versioning, pipelines, drift detection, experimentation.
• Cloud platform experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Proficiency with Git/GitHub and collaborative development workflows.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end modeling problems from framing to production deployment.
• Collaborate with data engineers and software engineers to ship features.
• Define and enforce standards for model deployment, monitoring, and retraining.
• Document decisions and patterns for broader team reuse.
• Engage with leadership to translate modeling tradeoffs into actionable plans.
