Job summary

Alpaca is seeking a Staff Data Scientist, Growth to define and own growth metrics across the customer journey. You will set technical direction, build the experimentation and metrics platform, and collaborate with Product, Marketing, Sales, and Engineering on high-impact initiatives.

This is a greenfield charter focused on measurable growth through data-driven decisions. You will model retention, churn, LTV/CAC, and cohort analyses, while enabling self-serve analytics and clear narratives for

Qualifications

• Proven expertise in growth analytics and data science with experimentation.
• Experience with funnel analytics and lifecycle/CRM metrics.
• Ability to build and critique growth models and dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Own the growth funnel end-to-end across acquisition to monetization.
• Design and run A/B tests and causal analyses for growth.
• Develop retention, LTV/CAC, churn models and forecasts.
• Measure marketing impact with attribution and marketing mix.
• Define growth metrics and build scalable dashboards.
• Partner with Product, Marketing, Sales, and Engineering.
