Job summary

Nextdoor is seeking a Staff Data Scientist for the Monetization Team in a hybrid role across major offices. You will shape ranking models, design experiments, and drive revenue insights by partnering with Product, Engineering, ML, Sales and Finance.

We expect strong SQL, Python, and data analysis skills and a proactive AI mindset. The role emphasizes ownership of complex analyses, explainability, and collaboration to improve core Ads products.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of data science experience.
• Experience in Ads Marketplace and/or Monetization.
• Experience architecting, debugging, and executing complex SQL queries.
• Excellent knowledge of Python and data-science packages (numpy, pandas, scikit-learn).
• Experience designing analyses, experiments, and causal inference studies.
• Curiosity to derive meaningful product and business insights and apply AI.

Responsibilities

• Design and optimize Ads Marketplace ranking and measurement models.
• Design experiments and monitor post-release outcomes with robust methodologies.
• Develop analyses to quantify impact of data-driven content and features.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, ML, Sales & Finance to deliver insights.
• Translate findings into actionable recommendations for partners.
