Job summary

Stripe in Seattle seeks a Staff Data Platform Engineer to guide a team building data discovery and catalog services. You will own end-to-end data pipelines and collaborate with product partners to deliver trusted data for business decisions.

You will apply AI/LLM approaches to improve data quality, scalability, and speed of insights while mentoring engineers and driving high-impact initiatives across Stripe.

Qualifications

• 10+ years building and operating data systems and leading teams.
• Strong distributed systems fundamentals and high-availability mindset.
• Proficient in backend languages and SQL.
• Customer-focused with ability to partner across business units.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical outcomes for a team of engineers.
• Build and operate large-scale data discovery or catalog platforms.
• Develop expertise and manage SLAs of data pipelines and applications.
• Collaborate to create canonical datasets and ensure data trust.
