Job summary

Pinterest is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to lead data warehouse and analytics initiatives. You will shape architecture, storage patterns, and cross-functional programs across data systems to support scalable analytics at a massive scale.

You will mentor engineers, drive architectural decisions, and partner with Product, Data Science, and Engineering teams to translate business needs into robust data platforms. This role offers a national presence with flexible on-site/remote collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of relevant industry experience with large-scale data warehouses and data tools.
• Experience building data warehouses and tools around the data ecosystem (Spark, Trino, Flink, Airflow, Querybook, Superset, DataHub).

Responsibilities

• Define and design Pinterest's data warehouse architecture, storage, and access patterns.
• Lead ambiguous, cross-functional initiatives across data warehouse and analytics domains.
• Mentor and elevate the technical bar for engineers with complex design decisions.
• Collaborate with Product, Data Science, and Engineering teams to understand user needs and drive progress.
