Job summary

ServiceTitan is seeking a Staff Data Engineer to lead the architecture and engineering of its core data platform. You will design scalable data systems, implement semantic modeling, and advance data sharing capabilities across a high-scale environment.

You will drive performance engineering, data curation, and pipeline development with modern tools like dbt MetricFlow and Snowflake while upholding strong CI/CD and on-call reliability practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor, Master, or PhD in CS or related field.
• 8+ years in software or data engineering in production environments.
• Proven architecture leadership for data platforms.
• Experience with dbt MetricFlow and semantic modeling.
• Hands-on with Snowflake, Python, Spark, Java/Scala.
• Experience with Iceberg/Delta and Kafka/Kinesis.

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement, and maintain high-performance, scalable data systems for enterprise analytics.
• Contribute to semantic layer and data sharing architectures across the org.
• Lead data modeling using dbt MetricFlow to standardize business metrics.
• Optimize query performance and distributed storage for large datasets.
• Collaborate to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources.
• Drive code quality through automated testing and design reviews.
• Develop observability tools for data quality, monitoring, and reliability.
• Participate in on-call rotations to maintain platform stability.
