Job summary

Salesforce, Inc. seeks a Staff Software Engineer for its Data Infrastructure team. You will design, build, and operate scalable data infrastructure that underpins analytics, ML, and data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

10+ years of software, platform, or infrastructure engineering experience.
Experience supporting data-intensive systems or data platforms.
Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
Proven ability to build, deploy, and operate distributed infrastructure at scale.
Hands-on experience with data pipelines or data engineering workflows is a strong plus.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and operate scalable data infrastructure powering analytics, ML, and data-driven decisions.
Serve as DRI for multiple core data services like analytics infrastructure (e.g., Pinot, Trino) and compute/orchestration (Airflow, Spark on Kubernetes, EMR, Hive Metastore).
Improve security, cost efficiency, and developer experience across data infrastructure.
Build self-service tools and observability to empower data teams to manage workflows and data needs.
