Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to join the Data Infrastructure team within the Data Engineering organization. You will design, build, and operate reliable, scalable data infrastructure powering Salesforce analytics, ML, and data-driven decision-making.

You will mentor engineers, own core data services (e.g., Pinot, Trino, Airflow, Spark on Kubernetes), improve security and cost efficiency, and partner with security, data engineering, and platform teams to deliver high‑impact

Qualifications

10+ years of software, platform, or infrastructure engineering experience, with data-intensive systems.
Strong communication and collaboration across cross-functional teams.
Proven experience building, deploying, and operating distributed infrastructure at scale.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and operate scalable data infrastructure powering analytics, ML, and data-driven decisions.
Serve as DRI for multiple core data services (analytics infra like Pinot, Trino).
Drive security, cost efficiency, and developer experience across data infra.
Build automation and self-service tools for data workflows.
