Cribl is seeking a Staff Data Engineer to lead Cribl's Data Engineering team, owning architecture for core data systems and the Snowflake environment. You will mentor engineers, drive performance, and advance the modern data stack with dbt, Prefect, and AWS-based services.

As a hands-on leader, you will collaborate across data, engineering, and business teams to deliver scalable, cost-efficient data pipelines and governance.

Qualifications

• Deep expertise in Snowflake data modeling, query tuning, and cost management.
• Strong technical leadership with experience setting direction and delivering complex systems.
• Excellent cross‑functional collaboration across data, engineering, and business teams.
• Mentoring engineers and growing junior/mid‑level contributors.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical lead for Cribl's Data Engineering team and own architecture for core data systems.
• Own Snowflake environment, RBAC design, and data governance.
• Develop cloud-native services on AWS and IaC patterns with Terraform.
• Mentor engineers through code reviews, pairing, and design feedback.
• Partner with stakeholders to shape platform roadmap and build-vs-buy decisions.
• Support data science initiatives and integrate AI/LLM workflows into production.
