Job summary

Cityblock Health is seeking a senior data engineer to own the core data platform shaping evidence-driven care. You will build scalable data pipelines across claims, enrollment, EHR, and HIE data used by AI agents and dashboards.

You will define and maintain a semantic and metrics layer, ensuring consistent definitions across consumers and enabling trusted self-serve analytics. Collaboration with BI, clinical, and product teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 6+ years building trustworthy systems.
• Production-scale dbt and SQL experience.
• Experience owning operational or reverse-ETL data systems.
• Knowledge of semantic/metrics layer design.
• Familiar with AI tooling for data analytics in daily work.

Responsibilities

• Own major parts of the data foundation enabling AI and care models.
• Build and maintain ingest and transformation pipelines for partner data.
• Own reverse-ETL feeding operational data and workflows.
• Define semantic and metrics layer definitions and ensure consistency across dashboards.
• Collaborate with BI, clinical, and product teams to align data definitions.
