You have 10+ years of experience, deep knowledge of Airflow, Spark, Kafka, Flink, and SQL, and a passion for data quality. This role emphasizes autonomy, collaboration, and high-impact outcomes in a fast-paced financial infra context.

Qualifications

• 10+ years building and operating data systems, pipelines, warehouses, and leading teams.
• Strong engineering background with distributed data pipeline experience.
• Deep data quality focus and ability to debug complex data issues.
• Backend language experience (Scala/Java/Go) and strong SQL skills.
• Customer-focused and able to collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical outcomes for a team of engineers and provide mentorship.
• Partner with recruiting to attract and hire top talent.
• Deliver scalable data pipelines prioritizing reliability and efficiency.
• Develop subject matter expertise and manage SLAs for data pipelines and apps.
• Collaborate to create canonical datasets and trustworthy data for Stripes and customers.
• Leverage AI/LLM and agents at scale for data problems.
• Drive key data initiatives from planning to delivery with quality and timeliness.
