Job summary

Keycard is hiring a Staff Data Engineer to design and build the data systems powering our identity and security platform. You will craft pipelines, storage, and APIs that support near real-time enforcement, feedback loops, and customer insights.

You will balance streaming and batch paradigms, handling both transactional and OLAP requirements, and work with founders and engineers to shape the data architecture from the ground up.

Qualifications

• Experience designing resilient data pipelines balancing streaming and batch paradigms.
• Skilled in building systems for transactional and analytical workloads.
• Proficient in Python, Go, or Rust and in designing end-to-end APIs, pipelines, and storage.

Responsibilities

• Design and build operational data systems powering near real-time enforcement and customer insights.
• Balance streaming and batch to meet low-latency needs and analytical clarity.
• Integrate external data sources and enable policy evaluation across dashboards and APIs.
• Collaborate with founders, product, and core engineers to shape data architecture.
