Job summary

Todyl, Inc. is seeking a staff-level data engineering leader to guide ingestion and storage architecture for a cloud-native platform.

You will own complex initiatives end-to-end, collaborate with AI/ML, product and architecture teams, and raise the Data team's capability through mentorship and design leadership. You will build scalable pipelines, enhance observability, and drive reliable data delivery for real-time analytics across a multi-tenant environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of end-to-end commercial software and application development.
• 3+ years of commercial software development for a multi-tenant cloud platform.
• Demonstrated experience owning complex, ambiguous initiatives end-to-end.
• Proficiency in Python and SQL for data work.
• Experience with data ingestion, storage, and analytics engines.

Responsibilities

• Set technical direction for data ingestion and storage systems across multi-quarter initiatives.
• Architect and implement scalable data storage and ingestion solutions with trade-offs in performance and security.
• Establish architectural principles and observability standards for the Data team.
• Design data ingestion pipelines from multiple sources into search/analytics platforms for real-time analytics.
• Collaborate with Architecture, AI/ML and product teams during design and delivery.
• Mentor engineers, lead design reviews, and improve team autonomy.
• Participate in on-call rotations and manage incidents to reduce toil.
