Job summary

Realtor.com is seeking a Staff Data Engineer to join the Data team. You will enable data-driven decisions by building scalable data platforms with governance, security, and cost efficiency in mind.

You will work with engineers, learn new technologies, participate in hackathons, and help deliver reliable data in our data warehouse while collaborating with stakeholders across the business.

Qualifications

• 8+ years building data pipelines and platforms.
• Cloud-based architecture, development, and deployment experience.
• Experience with data collection, streaming, and processing.
• Knowledge of data structures, SQL, and schema design.

Responsibilities

• Champion data best practices and design scalable data architectures.
• Make strategic technical decisions across teams and influence direction.
• Demonstrate expertise in SQL, data structures, and schema design.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data needs.
• Own delivery, quality, and reliability of data in the warehouse.
• Support production issues and perform root-cause analysis.
• Participate in hackathons and PoC experiments to improve delivery.
• Present products/features to internal stakeholders.
