Job summary

Dexcom seeks a Staff Data Engineer to design and build data services on AWS, ingesting 12+ vendor sources and delivering analytics-ready datasets to scientists and analysts. You will own reliable, scalable pipelines using Lambda, Glue, CDK, and Step Functions, with strong emphasis on data quality and governance.

You will collaborate with data scientists and business stakeholders to enable commercial analytics and AI/ML initiatives, while mentoring the team and setting architectural direction.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline; advanced degree preferred.
8+ years in data engineering or data platform roles.
Proven experience with AWS data services and data modeling.
Strong SQL, Python, and CI/CD skills; excellent communication.

Responsibilities

Design and build data pipelines ingesting 12+ vendor sources into S3 and Redshift.
Develop AWS-native workflows using Lambda, Glue, CDK and Step Functions.
Implement data quality checks, error handling, and observability.
Collaborate with data scientists and business stakeholders to power analytics/AI/ML.
Mentor teammates and drive architectural decisions with governance and security in mind.
