Headway is seeking a Staff Data Engineer in the United States to shape the data infrastructure and lead high-impact data initiatives. You will architect scalable data models, own data standards, and guide cross-functional engineering teams while partnering with data scientists and analysts.

The role emphasizes data quality governance, mentorship, and setting technical direction to enable reliable, trustworthy data for product features and critical decisions.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of data engineering experience with architecting large-scale data products.
• Expert-level proficiency with Snowflake, dbt, Apache Airflow and Python.
• Strong data modeling techniques for production systems.
• Ability to define the data platform roadmap and drive architectural decisions.
• Proven mentoring and engineering elevation skills.
• Marketplace/two-sided platform experience is a plus.

Responsibilities
