Opiniion is a SaaS, AI-first company reshaping how businesses understand and act on customer feedback. We're seeking a Staff Data Architect to own the architecture of our data platform end to end: ingestion, modeling, governance, and analytics across the company.

You'll partner with the Staff Software Architect to drive the technical direction of the platform, balancing current data foundation with the next generation, and making clear decisions about what carries over or gets rebuilt.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in data engineering or data architecture
• 7+ years in architect/technical leadership
• Deep Databricks or Snowflake experience
• Experience with ETL/ELT tools and orchestration
• SQL and Python proficiency; distributed processing

Responsibilities

• Own the data platform architecture across ingestion, transformation, storage and BI layers.
• Co-drive architecture and rollout of a new platform with Staff Software Architect.
• Balance current data platform ownership with new platform evolution during transition.
• Design scalable data foundation to support growing data, analytics and AI.
• Own canonical data models, schema design and architecture standards.
• Lead data governance, quality, lineage across the org.
• Mentor data engineers through reviews, docs and hands-on support.
• Evaluate data tools and make build vs buy recommendations.
• Support AI/ML initiatives with well-modeled data foundations.
