Cantex Continuing Care Network is seeking a Staffing Coordinator for Crestview Court in Cedar Hill, TX. This full-time role ensures proper staffing patterns via budgeted PPD, conducts interviews, reference checks, and staff scheduling, and provides in-service and clinical education to staff.

The position requires LVN licensure (preferred), strong English, and proficiency with EMR and MS Office. Experience in a 24-hour healthcare setting and nursing department staffing is desired.

Formación

• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel.
• Experience in interviewing and hiring nursing staff.
• Experience using electronic medical records (EMR).

Responsabilidades

• Prepare monthly nursing department schedules posted 6 weeks in advance.
• Prepare daily sign-in sheets two weeks prior to schedule expiration.
• Monitor staffing per patient per day (PPD) and census to minimize overtime.
• Report staffing challenges to the Director of Nursing (DON) promptly.
• Maintain attendance records and discipline as needed.
• Maintain open positions and applicant tracking logs.
• May conduct initial nursing interviews and reference checks.
• May orient Nursing staff including EMR training.
• Assist Nurse Manager as a Super User in EMR.
• Coordinate Employee Health requirements (TB/HBV) for staff.
• Communicate effectively with staff and report daily staffing patterns to DON.
• Maintain phone lists and distribute as needed.
• Handle staffing calls to fill vacancies with Nurse Manager.
• Educate staff per the education calendar under DON direction.
• Act as a role model and support facility mission.
• Ensure patient/resident safety.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

The primary purpose of the Staffing Coordinator is to ensure appropriate staffing patterns for the facility utilizing the budgeted PPD. This position will be responsible for initial interviews, reference checks and staff scheduling. The Staffing Coordinator will also conduct In-Services and clinical education/orientation to staff members.

Qualifications:

• Prefer current licensed LVN in applicable state
• High School Graduate or GED
• Experience staffing in a 24-hour operations healthcare setting
• Ability to read, write and speak the English language
• Proficient in Microsoft office products, including Excel
• Experience in interviewing and hiring nursing department personnel
• Experience utilizing electronic medical records system

Essential Functions:

• Prepare monthly schedules for all nursing departments schedule to be posted at 6-week intervals and 2 weeks prior to the expiration of the current schedule
• Prepare daily sign in sheets at least two weeks in advance
• Monitor daily staffing per PPD and census utilizing the staffing resources to minimize overtime
• Report any staffing challenges to the DON immediately
• Maintain attendance records of nursing staff and triggers disciplinary action for staffing issues in relation to attendance to the respective Nurse Manager
• Maintain the open positions and applicant tracking logs
• May perform initial interviews for nursing department staff
• Complete reference checks
• May perform Orientation for Nursing personnel including initial Vision (EMR) software training
• Will perform Nurse Manager duties related to being a Super User in EMR
• May initiate Employee Health requirements (TB and HBV) for staff in all departments
• Communicate effectively with staff
• Report to DON/designee daily of staffing patterns and/ or open positions
• Maintain accurate phone list of nursing personnel and distribute as necessary
• Accept all staffing calls while on duty partnered with respective Nurse Manager to fill position vacancies
• May conduct staff education per the education calendar at the direction of the Director of Nursing
• Ability to function as a Role Model supporting the facility mission
• Responsible for assuring patient/resident safety.
• Any other duties as assigned
